AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Paceline presented a check in in the amount of $252,710.06 to the Georgia Cancer Center on Monday.

The donation came from Paceline’s fundraising efforts in 2024.

Despite its annual PaceDay event being cancelled by Hurricane Helene, Paceline said it was still able to raise money thanks to its participants and local businesses.

“The movement that we run year-round is really a result of the community coming together in the fight against cancer,” said Martyn Jones, president of Paceline. “We are just in the middle of that if you like enabling that passion and that spirit of the community.”

“When we have this support that we can give to our investigators so they can come up with new ideas, generate some data some pilot data so they can go out and get bigger grants and expand that research it is fantastic,” said Dr. Jorge Cortes, director of the Georgia Cancer Center.

Since the non-profit it was founded in 2019, Paceline has raised more than $1.7 million for cancer research.
