In a dramatic turn of events in Lakeland, Florida, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended 33-year-old Dy’Sean Broome following a road rage incident that spiraled out of control. The charges he faces are grave: unlawful display of a firearm, aggravated stalking, and aggravated assault. Broome, who has been serving as a firefighter with Pasco County Fire Rescue since 2024, now finds himself embroiled in a legal battle.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd did not mince words when discussing the arrest. He questioned the wisdom of allowing Broome into such a trusted position given his previous infractions. “You put him on a fire rescue truck? I’m just saying. You oughta think through this. He didn’t learn after his first operation when he got fined. Now he’s pulling guns and chasing people,” Sheriff Judd remarked with evident frustration.
