DELTONA, Fla. – A 29-year-old man was shot early Tuesday in Deltona during an argument with another man, deputies said.

The shooting happened around 3:10 a.m. on Flagami Terrace.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office said the victim was taken to a hospital in Orange City with a gunshot wound to his stomach area.

He was later taken to a hospital in Sanford to undergo surgery, deputies said.

Detectives have identified the shooter and are working to get him into custody, sheriff’s officials said.
