ORLANDO, Fla. – Fans of warm, soft pretzels will soon have a new outlet to find their fix in Orlando.

Pennsylvania-based Philly Pretzel Company is planning to bring its first store to the area later this year.

The company specializes in the soft pretzel style popular in Philadelphia, along with specialties like pretzel dogs, mini cheesesteak-stuffed pretzels, and pepperoni melts.

Derek Lewis, a former PepsiCo president based in Orlando, is partnering with the company to bring its first location to Florida. The location has not been finalized yet.

Lewis is already in the process of bringing another franchise to Central Florida. He is opening 10 Big Dave’s Cheesesteak locations in the area, with one already open at the Kia Center.
