SAVANNAH, Ga. () — ‘s tribute to breast cancer survivors, the 4th annual Healing Heroes Fashion Show, took place Saturday with a sellout.

The fashion show remembers those we have lost and honors those who have beaten the battle against breast cancer. This year, 180 people packed the venue at Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion.

15 heroes had their photos printed on banners to honor their battle. ‘s very own Tarcia Bush participated as a model during the show, honoring her sister, Tia, who bravely fought breast cancer until her passing in 1998 at the age of 31.

Symenthia Shuman, a fashion show model and breast cancer survivor, said technology has greatly improved and advised men and women to visit a doctor and get treated.

“I love my Buddy Check 3 because that saved my life,” said Shuman. “Thank God I caught it in time, went through my chemo, radiation, followed by surgery and was declared cancer-free.”

‘s Tina Tyus-Shaw started the event in 2022.
