Flaming space debris was seen raining down off Florida’s coast on Thursday night after SpaceX’s latest Starship launch ended with another explosion.

The 403-foot rocket was spotted streaming from the skies over Florida, moving east toward what was intended to be a controlled entry over the Indian Ocean.

However, videos soon emerged online showing flaming specks from the rocket overhead near Florida.

If you’ve seen anything unusual in the sky over Florida or anything that appeared to be space debris over the past few hours, be sure to share your photos and videos on News 6′s PinIt! page. Videos and pictures may even be added to this story!

SpaceX suffered a similar accident during another Starship launch roughly two months ago, which sent trails of flaming debris near the Caribbean.

But during the Thursday launch, the company said it lost contact with the massive rocket during Starship’s ascent burn.

“Our team immediately began coordination with safety officials to implement pre-planned contingency responses,” the company explained. “We will review the data from today’s flight test to better understand root cause. As always, success comes from what we learn, and today’s flight will offer additional lessons to improve Starship’s reliability.”

The explosion triggered an FAA-mandated Ground Stop at several Florida airports — including the Orlando International Airport — though that stop has since been lifted.
