NEW YORK – The Tony Awards have chosen a vibrant performer known for her dynamic energy to host this year’s televised ceremony: Pink.
The pop sensation, who has earned three Grammy Awards, will take the stage as the master of ceremonies for the first time on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall, the traditional venue for the event.
Expressing her excitement, Pink stated, “It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz. Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together — it is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love. These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world.”
While Pink has yet to perform on a Broadway stage, she boasts an impressive musical career, with 15 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including four chart-toppers. Her live performances are renowned for their acrobatic flair and high-flying antics.
The Tony Awards’ executive producers, Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall, and Jack Sussman, lauded Pink as “a fearless artist whose powerhouse voice, electrifying stage presence, and undeniable authenticity embody the very spirit of live performance and theatre.”
The 2026 awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Getting buzz from appearing on the telecast can dictate a show’s future, both on Broadway and on tour.
Last year’s show drew 4.85 million viewers to CBS, its largest broadcast audience in six years, according to Nielsen data. CBS also said the awards show drew its largest streaming audience on Paramount+ but did not disclose those viewership numbers.
The awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
