SANFORD, Fla. – Seminole High School in Sanford has been placed under lockdown this Thursday due to ongoing police operations in the vicinity.

Situated on Ridgewood Avenue, just north of Airport Boulevard and Orlando Drive, the school initiated a Code Yellow lockdown. This protocol implies that no entry or exit from the campus is permitted, as confirmed by school representatives.

At this time, authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding the nature of the police activity in the area.

The school administration promptly informed families about the lockdown situation.

Dear Seminole High Families, Students, and Staff,

Seminole High is currently on a Code Yellow out of an abundance of caution due to police activity in the area near our campus.

As a reminder during a Code Yellow, nobody is allowed on or off campus.

We will provide and update when law enforcement lifts the Code Yello.

Thank you for your patience and support.
