Police Chase on Big Bear Creek Road
Officers spotted a vehicle with fictitious tags just after 3 am and attempted to pull it over. The driver had other ideas and that led to a police chase involving 4 units.
The driver took off going 50 miles an hour, and turned down Gravel Road before fleeing on foot on a four-wheeler trail. Officers caught up with the pair just over the Pike County Line. The make suspect put up a fight, and a deputy was injured when another deputy accidentally hit them in the mouth with a knee.

Police sent for an ambulance for the male suspect and dropped the woman off on Unger Hill Road. An ambulance transported the man to the hospital for treatment.
Police booked Christopher Cutlip into the Scioto County Jail for failure to comply with a police order and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $10,000.
The officer was treated at KDMC Urgent Care in Portsmouth.
