HARDEEVILLE, S.C. () — The Hardeeville Police Department said are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information related to a 2023 homicide.

Perry Smith, 33, was pronounced dead at the Mercy Circle Apartments in November 2023. He was shot at least once, the Jasper County Coroner said.

A Hardeeville Police Department (HPD) spokesperson said they have recently uncovered evidence that has advanced their investigation. Resolving this case, securing justice for Smith and providing answers to his loved ones is a top priority, the official said.

“We urge anyone with information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to come forward,” a Hardeeville PD spokesperson said. “Your cooperation could be instrumental in bringing this case to a resolution.”
