Port Wentworth PD investigating Saturday shooting

PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. () – The Port Wentworth Police Department (PWPD) is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Rice Creek Apartments on Saturday.

Officials say officers responded to a call reporting a shooting at the location and arrived to find one victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

According to the PWPD, preliminary investigation suggests that the victim may know the suspect involved. However, authorities say the victim has so far been uncooperative with law enforcement regarding details of the incident. 

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact the Port Wentworth Police Department at 912-964-4360.
