ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The University of Central Florida’s Board of Trustees on Thursday is expected to change the name of FBC Mortgage Stadium during a meeting.

If approved, UCF’s football stadium will be renamed to Acrisure Bounce House, according to the board’s agenda.

The stadium has long been nicknamed the “Bounce House” in spite of any naming agreements due to how it shakes around when the fans start jumping.

Not only does the potential new name serve as a callback in that sense, but the stadium was even officially called the Bounce House for a time before being named FBC Mortgage Stadium in 2022.

Thursday’s potential move follows Acrisure’s acquisition of FBC, completed in April 2024, and is part of the existing naming and sponsorship agreement between UCF Athletics and FBC Mortgage, LLC, the agenda states.

Acrisure bills itself as a Michigan-based global fintech and insurance company with other naming rights agreements at Acrisure Stadium, “Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers;” Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California; and Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids.

This acquisition reflects Acrisure’s broader trend of diversifying its services and expanding its footprint in the financial services sector.

Financial terms of the deal remain the same, i.e. the 10-year $19.5-million agreement made in 2022, according to the agenda. The annual $1.5 million rights fee is set to escalate after the first five years, going up to $2 million for years 6-8 and then to $3 million in years 9-10.

UCF’s football stadium opened in 2007 and was first known as Bright House Networks Stadium before becoming Spectrum Stadium in 2017 and the Bounce House in 2020.

The UCF Board of Trustees will meet at 11:15 a.m.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
