DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Nintendo is set to begin pre-orders for its highly anticipated Switch 2 next week.
According to the video game giant, preorders will commence Thursday, April 24.
Its release date remains unchanged: June 5.
“At launch, the price for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will remain as announced on April 2 at $449.99,” writes Nintendo, “and the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle will remain as announced at $499.99.”
The company did warn that while the prices for both Mario Kart World ($79.99) and Donkey Kong Bananza ($69.99) will also be unchanged, accessories will see changes in price from what was revealed April 2 “due to changes in market conditions.”
Preorders had originally been set to begin on Wednesday, April 9, one week after the system was revealed in a April 2 Nintendo Direct. The introduction of the Trump tariffs on April 2 pushed the company to delay them.
