SAVANNAH, Ga. – Residents of the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry are enjoying another day of delightful weather, a trend that is set to continue into the night. A cold front is advancing from the west, but it will remain uneventful, bringing only a few clouds as it passes through overnight. The cloud cover will result in slightly warmer temperatures, with lows settling in the mid to upper 50s.

As we move into tomorrow, high pressure will make a comeback and maintain its hold for the remainder of the week. Temperatures are expected to climb to the upper 70s on Wednesday before easing into the mid 70s for Thursday and Friday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This sunny pattern is forecasted to persist into Saturday, with mostly sunny skies and highs again reaching the mid 70s.

Looking further into the weekend, a new weather system is on track to approach from the west. However, it does not pose any serious threat at the moment. There is a minor possibility of scattered showers from Sunday to Tuesday, but significant rainfall is not anticipated.

Tropical Storm Melissa has formed and is projected to move northward. Its current trajectory suggests that it will remain offshore, sparing the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry from any impacts.

However, Melissa will bring heavy rain to parts of the Caribbean, particularly Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica through the weekend. We’ll continue to monitor it closely, but for now, the forecast trend remains in our favor.
