SAVANNAH, Ga. — Supporting the battle against breast cancer just got a little easier, thanks to an initiative at Dillard’s in the Savannah Mall.
Pink ribbons are sprinkled inside Dillard’s at Savannah mall as the department store presents Fit for the CURE 2025.
For each Wacoal bra purchased, will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This esteemed organization is committed to advancing breast cancer research, enhancing community health initiatives, expanding global outreach, and influencing public policy related to breast cancer.
The Susan G. Komen Foundation has invested nearly $1.1 billion in breast cancer research since 1982 and said that over the past 30 years, they’ve helped fund the research for 29 new breast cancer fighting drugs.
Lingerie Manager Cecelia Jeffery said they have something for all women including breast cancer survivors.
“We have some that are for shallow, average, and we have some that will actually access the implants or their prosthetics that we can use with them,” Jeffery said. “So they’re very soft and comfortable. They’re very easy to fit.”
The event holds special meaning this year because one of their own sales representatives, Karen Evans is going through her battle with breast cancer.
Her photo from Healing Heroes: A Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors is on display at Dillard’s.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and run until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. You do not need an appointment.
