A private jet veered beyond the runway during an attempted departure Sunday at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, striking a fence along the airport’s perimeter, officials said.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m., but no injuries were reported, airport spokesperson Monika Bertaki said. The aircraft, identified as a Dassault Falcon 50, left the runway for reasons that remained unclear.
Airport crews closed two runways while they inspected the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration also briefly halted scheduled flights headed to Harry Reid International Airport, leading to travel delays.
Through August, the busy Las Vegas airport had recorded more than 370,000 aircraft operations and over 34 million passengers in 2026.
