MATTOON, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities are currently probing the origins of a fire that erupted at a residence in Mattoon on Friday.
Shortly after noon, at approximately 12:15 p.m., fire crews from Mattoon and Charleston were dispatched to a home located at 2505 Shelby Avenue following reports of a blaze. Upon their arrival, they were met with flames and dense smoke billowing from the single-story dwelling.
