AUGUSTA, Ga. () – A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery of a U.S. Postal mail carrier in the Apple Valley Subdivision last year, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Darrion Antwon Williams, 17, was located at Cedarwood Apartments and taken into custody on charges of Armed Robbery and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
Williams is the second suspect arrested in connection to the crime that took place Nov. 13, 2024, as RCSO said a juvenile offender has already been arrested in connection with the case.
In addition to the arrest of Darrion Williams’ arrest, these individuals were also charged, according to the sheriff’s office:
- Chavonne Thomas, 35, the mother of Darrion Antwon Williams, was charged with a felony offense of Giving False Statements and Writings.
- Carl Gant, 32, the uncle of Williams, was charged with a felony offense of Harboring or Concealing a Fugitive.
