CASEY, Ill. (WCIA) — Multiple agencies responded to a large structure fire in Casey Saturday evening.

The Casey Fire Protection District said it happened at Maulding Trucking. Officials believe an equipment issue caused the fire; arson is not suspected at this time.

The building and its contents were a total loss, but no injuries were reported. The fire protection district asked for the community to keep those impacted in their thoughts at this time.

“Please keep the Maulding family and their business in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this terrible loss,” Casey Fire wrote in a post on social media.

Martinsville Fire, Greenup Fire, Casey EMA, the Clark County ambulance service and local law enforcement assisted, the Casey Fire Protection District said.

As of Saturday evening, the fire was still burning in some small areas, but officials were confident that it had been contained.
