SAVANNAH, Ga. — In a remarkable fundraising effort on Friday, CURE Childhood Cancer amassed more than $400,000 to aid local children battling cancer and to bolster pediatric oncology research initiatives.
This heartfelt event was dedicated to the memory of Catie Wilkins, a courageous young girl who faced pediatric cancer with remarkable strength.
The gathering attracted over 500 attendees, who adorned their tables with creative themes in honor of those bravely fighting the disease, as well as the healthcare professionals dedicated to their treatment. Andrew Davis, a familiar face, served as the event’s emcee for the twelfth consecutive year.
“CURE’s mission is twofold: to provide support for patients and families grappling with a pediatric cancer diagnosis and to advance lifesaving research for pediatric cancers, which often receive insufficient funding,” explained Jenny Wilkins, Development Director of Events for CURE Childhood Cancer.
Overall, CURE successfully raised more than $400,000 during the Friday night event.
