Regina Hall to Receive Prestigious Honor at SCAD Savannah Film Festival 2023

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is set to honor Regina Hall with the prestigious Spotlight Award on Sunday, October 26, as announced on Friday.

Currently gracing the screen in the action-packed comedy “One Battle After Another,” Hall stars alongside industry heavyweights like Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and SCAD’s own chair of film and television, D.W. Moffett.

“We are delighted to uphold our tradition of celebrating exceptional talent by presenting Regina Hall with this award,” expressed Christina Routhier, executive director of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. “Her standout performance in ‘One Battle After Another’ underscores her impressive versatility, depth, and enduring impact as a storyteller. We are thrilled to partner with Gold Derby to honor her distinguished career and artistic achievements.”

Regina Hall, an acclaimed actress and producer, embarked on her entertainment journey in New York City while simultaneously pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at New York University. With a prolific list of film and television credits, she ranks among Hollywood’s most in-demand talents. Known for her standout roles in “Girls Trip,” “The Best Man,” and “Nine Perfect Strangers,” Hall has also made memorable appearances on television series such as “Grandfathered,” “Insecure,” and “Black-ish.”
