Renowned Coffee Brand Launches First Ever Spot in Central Illinois

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A new coffee hotspot has arrived in Central Illinois, marking a debut that has locals buzzing with excitement.

The much-anticipated Dutch Bros Coffee has officially opened its doors in Urbana, situated at the intersection of Green Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Enthusiastic patrons couldn’t wait to get their caffeine fix, as evident by the line of cars snaking around the building and extending onto the street. However, Sean Luna, a devoted fan, managed to avoid the rush.

Luna arrived a full hour and a half before the opening to secure his spot as the first customer. Having enjoyed Dutch Bros during his time in Oregon and Arizona, Luna has been a loyal enthusiast for over 15 years.

With this new location, Luna said that he’s finally able to get back into his normal morning routine.

“I moved back in June, and I found out this place was being built. I’ve gone to Dutch Bros probably every morning, probably for the last four or five years on my way to work, and now they have one here. So, I’m excited to be the first,” Luna said.

He said he even plans to be there at least five days a week.

But, this won’t be the only Dutch Bros in Champaign County. Another location is set to open on Neil Street, replacing the former Bob Evans.
