Man never resurfaced after falling off boat, officials say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Officials in Orange County are searching for a man who fell off of a boat on Lake Butler and never resurfaced on Saturday afternoon.

According to the a news release, deputies responded to reports of a man down at 9927 Giffin Court around 4:15 p.m.

Orange County Fire Rescue said three people fell off of the boat and that two were able to get out of the water.

A third person, a man in his 20s never resurfaced, deputies said.

According to the release, crews from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Orange County Fire Rescue are both searching for the man using rescue divers and drones.

No other information was released.
