SAVANNAH, Ga. () – Voting was held yesterday for Public Service Commissioner in District 2 and District 3 of Georgia. Here are the results:
District 2

Republican incumbent Tim Echols took the party nomination as he received 75.8% of the vote over challenger Lee Muns.

Democratic candidate Alicia M. Johnson got 100% of the vote as she ran unopposed for her seat.
Johnson will now take on Echols in a final race for the District 2 Public Service Commissioner seat.
District 3
In District 3, Republican incumbent Fitz Johnson also ran unopposed for his seat and therefore took 100% of the vote.

The race for the Democratic seat has ended in a runoff as none of the three candidates in the race (Peter Hubbar, Robert Jones and Keisha Sean Waites) gained 50% of the vote. This means that he top two vote getters, Keisha Sean Waites and Peter Hubbard, will likely meet again next month in a second round of voting.
The winner of the runoff will face Fitz Johnson in the final election for the District 3 seat.
