Data: 52,419 got $10.5M in SNAP last month in Northeast Tennessee

GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) — In September, over 50,000 residents of Northeast Tennessee received support from federal SNAP allocations, totaling $10,489,278.

This information, released by Tennessee’s Department of Human Services, was shared by the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee in anticipation of their upcoming emergency SNAP initiative.
