
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – A widespread condition impacting millions of women globally is getting a new designation. What was known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) will now be identified as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), as announced by the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Beverly London, a gynecologist at Carle, emphasized the importance of this change in terminology.
