MARTINEZ, Ga. () – Rick Jackson, a candidate in the Georgia gubernatorial race, is actively campaigning across the state.
On Saturday, Jackson held a meet-and-greet event aimed at engaging Republican primary voters. During the event, he outlined his vision for Georgia, should he be elected.
Jackson declared, “If we don’t establish the most cost-effective state healthcare plan in the United States, I will step down after my first term. I am confident in my ability to develop a comprehensive program. I understand the system inside and out, including its centers and inefficiencies. This is why I am committed to making healthcare access a priority through a more affordable system.”
Currently, Jackson is leading in the polls among Republican contenders. His opponents in the race for the Republican nomination include Attorney General Chris Carr, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
The primary election is scheduled for May 19th.
