In Sarasota County, Florida, a new resolution proposed by the local school board seeks to solidify its commitment to cooperating with state and local law enforcement agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This move has sparked a conversation about the role of law enforcement in educational settings.

Sarasota School Board Chair Bridget Ziegler emphasized the district’s dedication to legal compliance. “We have a top-notch team committed to following the law.
