SAVANNAH, Ga. – Imagine sipping festive cocktails, savoring holiday treats, and admiring Bing Crosby albums adorning the walls. This isn’t your typical holiday gathering in a family basement; it’s a delightful evening at Frosty’s Social Club.
Perched atop the Thompson Hotel in Savannah’s Eastern Wharf, Frosty’s is a holiday-themed pop-up bar that patrons might wish could last all year long.
We caught up with Thomas Villani, the Director of Beverage at the Thompson Hotel, to explore the inspirations behind the creative cocktails featured on their seasonal menu:
“I approached the holiday season with a touch of humor, capturing the quirky and amusing aspects it brings,” Villani explained. “Our first cocktail, Holiday Drama, encapsulates all the highs and lows of the festive season. It’s about the good, the bad, and the downright chaotic moments. In Savannah, finding a Christmas tree means heading to a parking lot, which led me to name one drink Parking Lot Christmas Tree. I find it amusing. In the Hallmark version, you venture into a winter wonderland to chop down your own tree. In my reality, I drive to Home Depot and choose one from a tent.”
