In a heartfelt plea, Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of the “Today” show, announced on Tuesday that her family is prepared to offer a reward of up to $1 million for any information that could lead to the discovery of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. Nancy has been missing from her Tucson home for over three weeks.

Guthrie shared this emotional appeal through a video posted on Instagram, where she candidly spoke about the painful uncertainty surrounding her mother’s disappearance. Acknowledging the possibility that her mother might be “lost,” she expressed the deep anguish her family is experiencing.

“It’s been 24 days since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed. Each passing moment, every hour and minute, has been filled with agony. We’re consumed by worry, fear, and a profound sense of longing for her,” Guthrie conveyed in the video.

Despite the grim circumstances, Guthrie emphasized her family’s hope for a “miracle,” while also accepting the possibility that her mother, who is 84, may have already “gone home to the Lord that she loves.”

In a poignant reflection, she added, “And if this is what is to be, we will all accept it.”

“But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home,” Guthrie added. “For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”

Guthrie said the tipsters could remain anonymous if they choose, and directed those with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or “find a way to reach out to me.”

Guthrie, in her video, added that her family is also donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

“We know there are millions of families that have suffered with this kind of uncertainty,” she said before announcing the donation. “We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours, who are in need, and need prayers, and need support.”

“So please if you hear this message, if you’ve ben waiting and you haven’t been sure, let this be your sign to please come forward, tell what you know, and help us bring our beloved mom home, so that we can either celebrate the glorious, miraculous homecoming, or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she has lived.

“Please be the light in the dark,” Guthrie said. “Thank you.”

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her house in Tucson, Arizona, on Feb. 1. Federal and local authorities believe she was forcibly taken from her home, and later obtained footage of a masked, armed individual approaching her door on the morning of her disappearance.

Investigators have yet to apprehend any potential suspects, and have not been able to match some of the DNA collected at the scene to anyone in a national criminal justice database. Blood found outside Guthrie’s front door, however, was confirmed to belong to the victim.

This is a developing story.
