SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate principal has been accused of sexual battery with a student in Spartanburg County.
According to the Spartanburg County Detention Center website, 31-year-old Kalan Rogers was charged Friday with sexual battery with a student between the ages of 16 and 17 years old.
It was reported that the assault did not involve aggravated force or coercion.
An indictment shared by the SC Attorney General’s Office stated that between Aug. 1, 2016, and May 31, 2017, Rogers engaged in sexual battery with a 17-year-old student by performing oral sex on the victim.
Rogers is the principal and head track coach of Calhoun Falls Charter School in Abbeville County according to the school’s website.
Officials said the individual was released from the detention center on Friday, Jan. 31 following his arrest.
