(Hill) — On Thursday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed trick-or-treaters to the White House for a Halloween festivity that has become a cherished tradition.
Among the attendees were press secretary Karoline Leavitt and deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, accompanied by their children. They gathered in front of the ornately adorned South Portico to receive candy branded with the White House insignia.
The president had just returned from a week-long tour of Asia, touching down at home at approximately 3 p.m. EDT.
