AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Members of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at the 2600 block of Brookshire Drive in Augusta on Tuesday, leading to multiple arrests.
According to police, the search on July 8 led to “the recovery of approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine, 25 grams of marijuana, three handguns, and a stolen Can-Am Spider motorcycle.”
The following individuals were arrested and taken into custody:
- Marquise Walker, Berten Blockett, Samaj Walton, Xavier Hatcher, Jalen Willett, and Kevontae Jenkins were charged with:
- Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
- Berten Blockett and Kevontae Jenkins face additional charges of:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Amiya Graham was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
In addition to the recovered substances, one of the individuals arrested was allegedly wearing a necklace that RCSO said may have been stolen in connection to the case of Xavion Wimberly, who was robbed while dying at the scene of a hit-and-run back in May.
Xavier Wimberly, Xavion’s father, has been notified of the recovery and will be contacted to positively identify the necklace.
Additional charges for those arrested could come at a later time, according to RCSO.
