HAVANA, Fla. – Three major arrests have been made in connection with the shooting of Florida State University football player Ethan Pritchard at an apartment complex, Gadsden County Sheriff Morris A. Young said.

The sheriff’s office made the announcement Wednesday on social media and said there would be more updates later as the investigation continues.

Pritchard, an FSU linebacker, was transported to a Tallahassee-area hospital in critical condition after he was shot in the head on Aug. 31 in Havana, about 15 miles northwest of Tallahassee.

His family says he was inside a vehicle and was mistaken for someone else while taking a loved one home.

Pritchard’s uncle told News 6 that his nephew is stable but still has a long road to recovery.

Details on the arrests, including names, were not given.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
