LODA, Ill. — Following a contentious encounter after a village board meeting on Wednesday night, a former trustee from the village of Loda has been taken into custody on charges of misdemeanor battery.
According to a report by the Ford County Chronicle, Donald “J.R.” Ptacek, 66, allegedly engaged in aggressive behavior by chest-bumping a current trustee during the incident. Iroquois County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ptacek at his residence in Loda. He was later released from the Iroquois County Jail with an order to appear in court.
Currently, Iroquois County court records do not list any formal charges against Ptacek, a situation not uncommon for individuals who receive a notice to appear.
