In a concerning incident at Gaylord Palms in Osceola County, Florida, a woman has been taken into custody following allegations of child abuse at a resort pool. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that Tiffany Griffith, aged 36, is facing charges of aggravated child abuse after being accused of submerging a young boy under water.

Authorities were summoned to the pool area on Friday afternoon after the parents of a 6-year-old boy reported a troubling encounter. The sheriff’s office revealed that the young boy had been swimming alongside another child of the same age when an altercation reportedly ensued.

According to statements made to News 6, the mother of the other child, identified as Griffith, is accused of stepping into the pool and forcefully pushing the reporting party’s son underwater by placing her hands on his shoulders. Witnesses claim the child was held under for several seconds.

As this report stands, Griffith is being held without bond, highlighting the seriousness of the charges she faces. The investigation is ongoing as officials work to piece together the events surrounding this distressing episode.
