In Eagle Mountain, Utah, a man faces serious charges after being accused of brutally assaulting his 14-year-old daughter. The allegations include slamming her head into the ground and forcibly shaving her hair as a form of punishment.
To shield the victim’s identity, Nexstar’s ABC4 has chosen not to disclose the man’s name. He has been charged with a first-degree felony for child torture and three additional counts for making violent threats.
The incident came to light when police were called to a residence following a report of suspected child abuse. The report was made by a witness who claimed to have seen surveillance footage depicting the man assaulting his daughter and cutting off her hair.
