Bays Mountain Park Day Camp registration opens

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Registration for Bays Mountain Park’s Day Camp 2025 has opened.

The camp is open for rising 1st through 6th graders. Each week-long session will be filled with outdoor, nature-oriented activities, including wildlife encounters, fishing, hiking, scavenger hunts, hands-on science projects and planetarium shows, according to Bays Mountain Park.

“Through fun, hands-on activities and exciting outdoor adventures, campers will explore the wonders of nature, learn about the elements—earth, wind, fire, and water—and their role in the environment,” Miranda Wanninger, chief ranger of visitor engagement, said in a news release.

The camp will run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Below are specific camp dates regarding grade level:

  • Students entering 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in Fall 2025
    • June 2 – June 6
    • June 16 – 20
    • June 30 – July 4
    • July 14 – July 18
    • July 28 – August 1
  • Students entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades in Fall 2025
    • June 9 – June 13
    • June 23 – June 27
    • July 7 – July 11
    • July 21 – July 25

Camp spots are limited to 30 people.

Tuition for the camp is $75 for the first child and $65 for each additional person.
