LINCOLN, Ill. (WCIA) — Six Logan County fire agencies responded to a heavy garage fire that spread to the house it is attached to late Friday night in Lincoln.

At approximately 11:39 p.m. on July 4, the Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire on Illini Drive in Lincoln. Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire in the garage with extension into the attached residence.

All occupants had safely evacuated the residence before units arrived on scene. The fire was quickly brought under control with minor fire damage to the interior of the residence. Additionally, the residence was ventilated and overhauled.

There were no reported injuries on scene and the cause of this fire remains under investigation.
