Six charged in 'major narcotics operation' in Richmond County, law enforcement says

AUGUSTA, Ga. – In a significant development on Thursday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of six individuals following a comprehensive narcotics investigation. This operation has resulted in the confiscation of multiple drugs, firearms, and cash.

The investigation reached a critical point on December 3, 2025, when the Narcotics Division, alongside the Crime Suppression Team, carried out search warrants at two locations—one on the 3800 block of Fairington Drive and another on the 1900 block of First Avenue.

Authorities have detailed the items seized during the raids, which include various illegal substances, weapons, and a substantial amount of money.

  • 12,500.7 grams of methamphetamine (12.5 kilograms)
  • 653.5 grams of cocaine (23.05 ounces)
  • 815.5 grams of marijuana (1.7 pounds)
  • 178 oxycodone pills
  • 70 fentanyl pills
  • 12.0 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 2 firearms (1 confirmed stolen)
  • 2 vehicles
  • 57,662.00 dollars in United States currency
