TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The cold front that moved through Wednesday evening is now to our south and cooler air will filter in throughout the day. Skies will gradually clear out this afternoon. Temperatures will only slowly warm into the mid-60s with a chilly breeze from the north.

Temperatures tonight will drop quickly and by Friday morning will be in the 30s and 40s with widespread wind chills in the 30s.

Despite sunny skies Friday afternoon, it stays cool with highs in the mid-60s.
The winter chill doesn’t last too long, by the weekend temperatures will warm to near 70 degrees Saturday afternoon and in the low 70s by Sunday. Clouds will return Saturday but it stays mostly dry with just a 10% rain chance. Sunday could see a couple of showers in the evening, especially south of I-4.
A few showers are possible Monday and Tuesday as well but it won’t affect the temperatures much. The gradual warming trend continues into next week with highs in the low 70s through Tuesday, and mid 70s return for the middle of next week.
