ZEPHRYHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — A self-described internet troll was arrested in Pasco County after making multiple threatening posts on the day conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed, according to an arrest report.

Pasco County deputies said Benjamin Allan Goodson, 41, was using a Facebook account with his real name when he made the posts.

Authorities said at least one of the posts appeared to be a threat against “elite society,” with Goodson writing, “It’s time to cut the throats of the tippity top elite Pedoberg I’m so sick of you f***** I promise I’ll get one of your heads.”

Goodson also made a post about committing a mass casualty incident and mentioned using his vehicle as a “deadly missile,” according to investigators.

“Justice will be served on this one, in so many ways. I can promise you myself haha, I’ve had enough. if my guns aren’t deadly projectiles then my car is a deadly missile,” the post read.

In addition to using his real name, detectives said Goodson had posted photos of himself to the Facebook account that matched up with his driver’s license photo.

Investigators questioned Goodson and said he admitted to making the posts “in frustration over the Charlie Kirk assassination.”

Goodson went on to tell detectives he is “an internet troll and just like(s) to talk on the platform,” the arrest report said. He further stated that he got “caught up in the heat of the moment” and said some “stupid things,” according to the report.

Goodson, who lives in Zephyrhills, was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with written threats to kill and written or electronic threat of a mass shooting or act of terrorism, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
