SAVANNAH, Ga. () — A three-day expo focused on sustainable living, food education and community connection will be held in Savannah starting on Friday, organizers announced.

Black’s Tropical Homestead, led by Bobby and Sherrie Black announced the 2025 SoilFamily Expo will begin April 4 and run through April 6. The expo is open to the public, but some events require registration and prepayment.

“We are thrilled to bring the SoilFamily Expo to Savannah,” Bobby said. “This event is a celebration of community, sustainability, and the joy of growing your own food.”

The expo is aimed to help teach skills in gardening, food preservation, and eco-friendly practices through workshops, demonstrations and connections with local vendors, organizers said.

“We believe that everyone should have the knowledge and resources to grow and raising their own food, know how to use what you grow to make everything you need to live, be healthy and live sustainably,” Sherrie said. “The SoilFamily Expo is a platform to share our passion and connect with like-minded individuals.”
