SC State Guard helping families affected by govt. shutdown, delayed SNAP benefits

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – In an effort to aid families impacted by the ongoing federal government shutdown and delays in SNAP benefits, the South Carolina State Guard is spearheading food distribution efforts at the Harvest Hope Food Bank in Greenville.

As the food pantry opened its doors at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, a line of cars wrapped around the building, underscoring the substantial effect the situation has had on South Carolina residents.
