South Effingham earns non-region win, Savannah Arts falls in 3 sets to Brunswick

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The South Effingham volleyball team picked up a non-region win, while Savannah Arts Academy lost in three sets to Brunswick on Sept. 18.

South Effingham won in straight sets over Calvary Day. The Mustangs improve to 24-9 overall on the year. They have 15 of their last 16 matchups. The only blemish during the stretch game on Sept. 16 to Glynn Academy. The next match for South Effingham is a week from today. They will host a tri-match with Brunswick and Savannah Christian.

As for Calvary Day, they fall to 12-7 on the year. They have lost three straight, which is their longest losing streak of the year. They look to get back in the win column on Sept. 23 with they play a tri-match with Camden County and Richmond Hill.

Savannah Arts Academy improves 11-16 on the year. They played a tri-match with Brunswick and Camden County. The Lady Panthers took the first set, but dropped the next two. They fell in the final set, 15-13.

The Panthers return to action on Sept. 25 in a tri-match with Greenbrier and Effingham County.
