AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Restaurants and coffee shops alike are offering fun food and drinks to keep the excitement going outside of the Augusta National Golf Club.

Ironwood Tavern in Evans is offering many specialty cocktails and tasty food for visitors to get a taste of Georgia.

The General Manager at Ironwood, Donnie Phillips, explains the items on their unique Masters menu.

“We’re offering our green jacket burger which is made with our house pimento cheese with candied bacon served on our Schweid Sons patty, it’s a big time seller along with our green jacket salad, our spin on that classic. Then we’re also doing our birdie on the green pizza with is a pesto based pizza, it’s got chicken, it has some blistered tomatoes and pickeled onions, it’s fantastic.” said Phillips.

Along with food they also offer cocktails like the Azalea Martini, Pineapple Margarita, Honey Suckle French 75, and Peachy Palmer.

Phillips says they prepare months in advance for this special week.

“I’d say about a week to two week ahead of time because we get a large tractor trailer back here for all of the extra items that we’re going to need, we have a very small kitchen. Sometimes even 6 months a head of time to make sure we have the personnel because we’re a very very busy restaurant.” Phillips said.

Ziggi’s Coffee in Augusta has a unique masters week menu with discounts on their drinks.

On Saturday they will have their “Fuel the Fairway Saturday” where all energy infusions are $4 all day, and on Sunday their special is called “Champion Sunday” where guests can buy one dirty soda and get one free to celebrate the final round.

The Assistant Manager at the coffee shop, Bethany Nattinger, says its exciting to be able to have this special and meet people from around the country.

“Getting in the thrill of serving so many people and just seeing the smile on their faces. We do have a lot of people that come in with different allergies or different nutritional values so it’s always nice to meet their standards and see them happy for the day, that’s all I really want, is just to see people happy, especially through a cup of coffee.” said Nattinger.

Make sure to stop by these restaurants as well as many others across the CSRA before the tournament is over to get your specialty item.
