SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The legal dispute between the Springfield Wyndham hotel proprietor and an insurance firm appears to be nearing resolution, with court filings suggesting a settlement has been achieved.
The case involves plaintiffs Full Service Hospitality LLC and Tower Capital Group LP, connected to Wyndham’s owner Al Rajabi, taking on the defendant, Affiliated FM, an insurance provider.
The towering 30-story Wyndham has remained shut since March 2025 after it was reportedly vandalized. Law enforcement discovered that vandals had severed a water pipe, damaged electrical systems, and destroyed the building’s controlling computer system.
