The music world is mourning the loss of R&B and neo-soul legend D’Angelo, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 51. His unique sound and style left an indelible mark on the industry and touched the hearts of fans worldwide.

Jamie Foxx shared his heartfelt memories of D’Angelo, recalling the profound impact of hearing his music for the first time. “I remember hearing your music for the first time and thinking, ‘Wow, whoever this is must be truly gifted,'” Foxx expressed. “When I finally saw you perform, especially in that iconic music video, I was completely captivated. Watching you live at the House of Blues was an unforgettable experience. Your voice was smooth and flawless, and I was in awe of your charisma and style.”

Foxx continued, “Today, tears fill my eyes as I hear the news of your passing. I know God has brought home one of His special creations, but this loss is deeply painful. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed forever, yet your music and legacy will resonate for generations. REST IN POWER AND BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. You were truly one of a kind.” He shared these touching words on Instagram, highlighting D’Angelo’s lasting influence.

Maxwell also reflected on the profound loss of his fellow musician, though his comments have yet to be shared publicly. The music community continues to pay tribute to D’Angelo, honoring the extraordinary talent and soul he brought to the world.
