SAVANNAH, Ga. – Today brings unseasonably warm conditions to Savannah, with temperatures soaring into the low to mid-80s, significantly surpassing the average for this time of year by 10 to 15 degrees. Expect a combination of sunshine and clouds throughout the afternoon, with a slight possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms as a stationary front to our west inches closer.
The region is currently experiencing severe to extreme drought conditions, highlighting the urgent need for substantial rainfall.

Although a few showers may linger into Monday, the warmth persists with temperatures remaining in the 80s. By Tuesday, as the front weakens and lifts, temperatures are set to rise further. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to climb into the mid to upper 80s, nearing record levels for early March.

This heatwave continues in advance of another cold front scheduled to arrive on Thursday. This front is anticipated to bring scattered showers and storms, along with a refreshing cooldown, as temperatures dip back to the lower 70s.

By Friday, more typical seasonal weather will make a comeback, featuring sunny skies, breezy conditions, and highs around 70 degrees. However, this cooler spell will be brief, as temperatures are set to rise once again over the weekend, with highs approaching 80 degrees by Saturday.
