Moultrie Co. EMA warns of first responder ‘active threat’ training session

MOULTRIE COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Residents in Moultrie County should be aware that local first responders will engage in an “Active Threat Response” exercise this weekend. The County’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has assured the public that there is no genuine threat to public safety during this time.

According to a Facebook announcement by the Moultrie County EMA, a comprehensive Active Threat Response drill is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning at around 1 p.m. at the Hydro-Gear facility in Sullivan. This collaborative event involves both Moultrie County first responders and the Hydro-Gear team.
